 Prepere own food when go for outing

 

This is the second year for Federation of Malaysian Consumers Association (FOMCA), in partnership with the National Council of Women Organizations (NCWO), Malaysian Youth Council (MBM), the Congress of Union of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS) and Petronas is undertaking 'Mindful Consumption Campaign. In 2009, we have launched the "Mindful Consumption Campaign" at Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM), PJ.


Mindfulness is a state of mind in which people become aware of their thoughts and actions and are fully occupied with the present moment. The first step in building a mindful consumer is becoming more aware of our beliefs and our habits.
 
 
A 'mindful consumer" is
 
  • Conscious of his income and his expenditure
  • Aware of his needs and wants
  • Concerned for both his present as well as his future needs                                 
  • Substantially spends based on his needs
  • Open to ideas that can lead to sustainable consumption
  • Respects all life and natural processes
  • Seeks his identity not by what he possesses


 
The 'Mindful Consumption Campaign' will be launched as follows:
