3K workshop was held in MIC Hall, Seremban on 6 February 2010. The workshop which started at 7 pm and ended at 10 pm was attended by 61 people consist of member of MIC, private and government employees and housewives.

Problems:
1. Idolize branded goods like ‘Colgate’ and worried of the usage of cheap goods will give any side effects.
2. Advertisement influences consumer buying behavior.
3. Confused with ‘booking fee issue’.
4. Charge of 5% sales price for purchases of car batery if issue a receipt.

Suggestion from 3K Team :
1. The usage of non-branded goods and not approved goods are not encourage to be used. Furthermore, consumer should read the label that been approved by Ministry of Health Malaysia and Jakim for Muslims. If the consumption of the low cost toothpaste give any side effect, then complaint can be lodge to The National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau of National Consumer Complaint Centre.

2. Explain how the advertisement been used to manipulate the consumer’s thinking and influences them with misleading advertisements.

3. Certificate Value Sell Buy Houses didn’t use the term ‘booking fee’ and it is a dictum or marketing behavior that been followed by the public without clarifying the term.

4. There is no charges to issue any receipts. For example, most of the restaurants and shops refuse to issue a receipt to avoid from tax payment. These shops are under the authority of Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism and the price of batery is also under the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism. So, the best way is by giving information to the legal bodies for further action and as a responsible consumer, should get the receipt as proff of purchases.
