Shopping During Festive Seasons. • Make early arrangements. Do not buy in rush. • Make early expenditure planning and list down things that you need to buy. • Do bugetting. • Shop according to your ability. • Do not shop just to compete with your friends or neighbours.
• Avoid debt. If you have to purchase in installment, make sure you can afford to pay monthly and do not exceed your financial ability. • Do not buy more than what is planned. Avoid impulsive buying. • Be careful when using credit card. You may not realise that you over-spending. • Make sure you compare prices and quality before buying. • Buy items that are in offer and cheaper. Take advantage of discounts. • If you buying in bulk, calculate the price of each item to see if it is cheaper to buy in smaller unit. • Be aware of mistaken calculations by the cashier especially if you buy large number of items. • Check all the items that you purchase for any damages. • Do not buy because of advertisement influence. • Check expiry date for food items. • Purchase clothes that are suitable for the age and check its quality too. Expensive clothes do not mean its better in quality. Buy a slightly bigger size clothes for children as they grow up fast. • Only change decorations that need to be changed. Cushion covers, curtains and table cloths that are in good condition can be reused. • Use your creativity to decorate your home without huge expenditure. • Do not cook extra. Try to estimate the number of visitors and cook only the amount that you need. • Store excess food in refrigerator. |
